iShift
For effective Coping and Management of Shift-Lag

Shift Lag is similar to jet lag and the symptoms include sleeplessness, fatigue, disturbance of the digestive system etc. Caused due to changes in shifts shift lag is largely associated with shift rotations and night work.

Essentially the human body is governed by the circadian system that governs various cyclical processes of the body among which sleep/wake cycle is one. This system responds to the external cues including light, eating cycles, social cues etc. Also known as the biological clock, it runs on an approximate of 25-hour cycle.

During change in shifts, the cues change and the biological clock is thrown of balance. Inability to maintain equilibrium the clock takes awhile to re-synchronize itself to the cues. Circadian system thrown of balance may result in generalized fatigue, inability to stay alert, emotional instability, irritability, digestive malfunctions and cardiovascular disorders among others.
iProdigy offers i Shift for organizations in the IT / ITeS / BPO industries engaging employees in night shifts and having a practice of shift rotations to make them more alert and effective at work place and ensure their overall well-being.

iShift is distinct from such other programs. It is designed to enable experiential uncovering and empowerment of innate human potentials to deal with such disruptions and not meant to be a prescriptive program providing therapeutic and supplementative inputs.
